@AdamGT Is the character quota for Connect postings specified in any list of dos & don’ts? I am still finding out where things are hidden around here! @BorrisS Yes, I have been reading the sections you mentioned in your reply to my original and misplaced posting. No, I did not know that there is an Introduce Yourself Section of Connect. I appreciate your pointing these out to me.
@AdamGT I have thought that perhaps one of your columns could be split into two columns. (Columns = poor usage of words leftover from newspaper and newsletter days. Should have caught that.
A latent editor working here.) ( Sorry! ) That makes reading awkward because some readers intent on reading both parts would need (if possible on their device) to have two tabs open. However, unless I am missing something, splitting one into two would give you more space and alphanumeric characters to work with. You seem to have done what I was trying to suggest. You write postings of explanations (Great!) and then postings of Leader Boards. (Wonderful!)
Meanwhile, I printed your section of explanations etc. off and did spend time reading and rereading.
How wonderful for you to know that a program you started has proved exceptionally popular, educational, and connecting for colleagues who otherwise would never know of one and another’s existence.

I ache when I read of the wildfires Down Under @AdamGT . We have a little more snow predicted again this weekend.
While I have not seen this specifically mentioned on any post or list of dos & don’ts, yes any message or post on Connect cannot exceed 100,000 characters.
I first encountered this limit on the Leaderboards of the Most Viewed Photos post and because of this limit, I had to break that post up and create a second post which I called the Leaderboards of Photo Views post. Unfortunately however, there is a number of Local Guides that wish to enterthe Leaderboards of the Most Viewed Photos post but I am unable to add them in so I will have to again start a new post. By the way, as well as to reduce the amount of work involved to a reasonable humanly manageable limit, this is the reason why in the third reincarnation of the leaderboards idea, I chose to have a 100 limit, and hence I called the latest leaderboards, the Top 100 Photo Views List While on this,I’m sorry but I’m not at all sure what you mean by splitting one of the columns into two columns to gain more space/characters to work with however I’m very pleased that you and many other Local Guides are enjoying and learning something from these leaderboard posts. They have achieved their intended purpose!
As your post is a question about Connect and not specifically related to photography, I think your post should be in the How-tos topic of Connect which is dedicated to questions like yours. You should edit your post and change it from the Photography topic to How-tos as it fits better there and this is where you are likely to get a wider response and also where others who may have similar questions like yours can benefit from the discussion.
You also said that you are still finding out where things are hidden around here. On this, are you using the Connect Search function? If you are and are experiencing any specific problems or have any suggestions on improving the Search function then I recommend that you post about this in the How-tosof or Idea Exchange topics.
Finally, while your weather forecast says “heavy snow” there, sadly Australia has hit another heat wave with major fires burning in the State of South Australia.
I am going to move your post to the How-tos section on Connect, the place where Local Guides ask questions related to the program and Google Maps. Furthermore, I am going to accept @AdamGT 's answer as a solution to your query.
