The Museum of The Moving Image transports you directly into a movie.

For movie fans, the exhibitions make your hair stand on end.

It was exciting for me to find props and special effects from my favorite movies, especially the figure of Regan from the Exorcist, used in the scene where she turns her head.

Also to return to childhood is the sample of Jim Henson, creator of The Muppets.

Antiguedades, Egipto, Grecia, Renacimiento, Edad Media, grandes pintores Européos y Americanos, etc.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, better known as the MET is currently the best museum I have visited.

The exhibition is huge, it takes more than a day to walk through it calmly.

Antiquities, Egypt, Greece, Renaissance, Middle Ages, great European and American painters, etc.

I have always been drawn to Egypt, its history and culture, and the exhibition here is great. Very revealing.

** @Ivi_Ge - My Entry for the Museum photo contest.**

I don’t get to museums very often. In January of 2022 I visited the Isabella Gardener Museum in
Boston, MA. This museum was originally a private home that was built to house the art collection of Jack and Isabella Gardener. This small museum has a very eclectic and collection and contains some o f the world’s greatest art works. On March 18, 1990 13 works of art were stolen and the museum still has spaces for the pieces, but none have ever been recovered. My photo is of the 3 story atrium/courtyard inside the museum and over 1400 views. I think my photo captures the magic feeling of entering a place of incredible beauty.

My review is here.

I visit the Tulungagung regional museum ( Wajakensis)

Wajakensis museum as a repository for homo Wajakensis fossil,

In the museum there are objects of cultural heritage in the temple site in Tulungagung.

The type of collections on display are archaeological and ethnographic objects.

The main collection is a replica of homo Wajakensis.

All can be seen here.

Here is the link.

Hi @Ivi_Ge thank you so much for creating this opportunity for Museum lovers.

I recently visited the Chatrapati Shahu Palace which is a Palace and Historical Museum at Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

  1. I want to nominate the following photo of the Museum.

  1. Link of photo on maps.

  2. Why my photo is helpful?

And: The front photo of Chatrapati Shahu Palace is incredibly helpful on Google Maps, as it allows individuals to get a realistic visual of what the palace looks like. And, also get an idea about whether it has wheelchair accessible entrance or not? Is wheelchair parking available or not? The photo gives individuals the ability to get a better sense of what the building looks like, ensuring that they know where to find it when they arrive in the area. The image also provides individuals with an idea of the scale of the building, helping them to get a better sense of the building’s size and grandeur. Additionally, the photo allows viewers to better plan out their routes and plan any activities they may be considering near or around the palace. Above all, the photo captures a representation of the historical significance of the palace, giving visitors a better understanding of its history.

  1. Link of Review on map.

I have also written post about it on connect. Please click here to have a look.

I again thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity.

@Rohan10 ,

I just tried your photo link and it didn’t work. The error message was “unsupported Map link”.

I’m looking forward to seeing it.

A new activity, a new challenge seems quite enjoyable. I have always been attracted to historical buildings, so I went to Rajbari. Rani Bhawani Rajbari (Rani Bhawani Rajbari) built in the seventeenth century in the ancient township of Natore district was declared as Rani Bhawani Central Park in 1986 by the Government of Bangladesh. Rani Bhavani Central Park has 6 dighis and 3 temples namely Shyamsunder, Tarakeswar Shiva and Anandamoyi Kalibari, which were once used for royal worship. Rani Bhavani Rajbari is better known as Natore Rajbari.

What a great idea @Ivi_Ge ! I enjoy losing myself in a museum and learning new things.

Below is my photo of Pine-Strawberry Museum in Pine, Arizona (original upload and review Google Maps)

The museum is one of the oldest museums at 143 years old, and a visit there is like traveling back in time. When I went, after two visitors rushed in and out in five minutes, I found myself wandering the rooms alone.

I overheard the employees talking about how their museum is not very well-known. One thing I noticed is that Google Maps lacked visual imagery of the interior. Since the museum looks small from the outside, maybe a lot of visitors were turned off by that and never gave it a chance. As such, I took and added photos of the exhibits to help entice visitors.

The following photo below best encapsulates the museum’s layout. The carpeting and flat open flooring shows that the rooms are accessibility-friendly. Also, it shows how the museum features historic artifacts, glass displays, and writing that you can read to further grasp the exhibits.

While the photo may not be the most aesthetically pleasing with splashes of color, the dull tones reflect the toughness of life in the early 1900s in the United States. The quote on the wall “Woman’s Work was Never Done” paired with all the tools for housework crammed together further adds to show the monotonous lifestyle. This quote still rings true today- not just for women but for all genders in the United States as our culture can be very “workaholic” and it’s often a never-ending cycle of “sleep, work, eat.”

@Ivi_Ge Auckland War Memorial Museum is not far from where we live. And it’s actually a stone’s throw from my kids’ schools. So we are regular visitors to this Museum. It has majestic architecture inside and out with state-of-the-art technology to give you an immersive experience. The museum is home to one of the country’s most extensive collections of Maori and Polynesian artefacts. The memorial has all the soldiers’ names engraved on the marble wall - from WWI to WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War. Currently, there is a permanent display of the WWII exhibition with a Spitfire fighter gallery. ANZAC Day is a great heritage in New Zealand and Australia and it’s more than just a military or historical legacy for the two countries. The museum also has a huge collection of natural and social history which are always beautifully curated and attracts hundreds of thousands of young visitors from all over the country.

Here are three of 20 some photos I posted on Google Maps

This is really useful for any visitors who plan to visit the Museum. It has all the info about what’s happening in the Museum.

I like this photo with the shrine and the tinted glass window which give us a sense of solemnity.

(helpful !?)

I always like taking outside/exterior photos of a place. Because it helps us identify a place easily. Like when I am navigating to a place using Google Maps I always see a few photos of the place, especially the exterior photos. So that I can easily spot the place when I reach the place.

Unfortunately, none of the reviews are being shown to the public for the last 1 year. So I cannot share it. I submitted a complaint about this using Google Forms but still no solution. If you can help me.

Thank you @Ivi_Ge for this challenge.

Two weeks ago I was in Sweden for the first time, exactly in Stockholm, invited by a Swedish friend. I have seen parks, museums, open-air museums, royal palaces and so much more. The museum that impressed me the most was the Regalskeppet Vasa. We stayed there for hours looking at this vessel, hearing and reading its story and above all the great recovery work. I also really liked the internal organization with many didactic reconstructions. My companion, who is visually impaired, was able to touch and better understand the shape of the vessel through a miniature model. He was very satisfied and we both had the feeling of having made a complete immersion, both in the historical period of the construction and in the great recovery work.

My review of Vasa.
