Here is my first list, complied in the Yazir neighborhood of the Selcuklu district in Konya province. In each place, I discovered a different human quality: entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, honest craftsmanship, genuine kindness, and empathetic tolerance.

Great initiative to highlight the work of inspiring women in our communities!
Pfaffenhofen/Ingolstadt is my home region, while Munich is the city where I work and spend a lot of time.
Because of that I created two Local Heroines lists and discovered several cafés, bars and food spots run by passionate female owners and hosts.
It was great for me to see how much creativity, hospitality and dedication these women bring to their places every day.

I’m happy to participate in this initiative for women.
I initially thought it would be harder to find companies run entirely by women, but in reality, there are so many.
Personally, I admire them greatly. Because, although gender inequalities in the workplace persist, these women who have created their own businesses, who earn a living, who often support their families, live in a kind of invisibility, are not sufficiently valued.

When I saw this challenge on Local Guides Connect, @Julie_A, I started noticing the many women entrepreneurs around me in Gandhinagar - from home kitchens and snack makers to boutique owners and doctors running their own clinics.
To celebrate them, I created a Google Maps list of women-led businesses in my city.
Gandhinagar - Local Heroines List
This is my entry for the challenge, and I will keep adding more inspiring women-run businesses whenever I discover them.
As a Level 8 Local Guide, it feels great to use Google Maps to highlight and support these local heroines.
