Chai (Tea) - A drink that binds us together

Recently, I’ve noticed that Chai (Tea) is a drink which not only serves an important part of our lives, but also it is something that binds together. I visited many parts of India, and I met many tea lovers from different places. Though food was different at different places, tea and the love for it was the same.

Here, I’m sharing with you the awesome tea I had in Amritsar, India. This shop is decades old and is visited by many people, including the politicians and movie stars. The place is Giani Tea Stall in Amritsar. You must have a tea here if you happen to be in this city. (Golden Temple is the other attraction).

Tea served with cream, nuts and elaichi

Double glass covering was done as the tea was very hot

@Tushar18 Yes, you are absolutely right. A cup of tea or tea stalls in our region plays a vital role make a strong bond among us. Villagers in Bangladesh gather every morning and evening come closer to each other. Village tea stalls become busier during election time and during the world cup of cricket and football. I will share a photo here soon. Thanks for sharing nice cup of tea with detail information.

Yes @MukulR … you are right. In India also, tea stalls and joints serve as the discussion point for news and studies. I’ve also seen many groups discussing their studies at tea stalls. We will wait for the picture of tea from your side.

Also, I’ve heard that Sylhet in Bangladesh produces some very good quality tea.

To be Frank, those varities flavors are purely hype. There are only very few traditional types of Tea. It’s, all started with Black Tea, Tea with Milk and thereafter, flavored tea could be herbal or spices

Mint, Lemon Grass, Tulsi, Ginger, Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon etc. Therefore, if there is demand, you can survive in market.

A new Brand of Chai inagurated 3 outlets in Bengaluru this week. Heard that they offer 2000 varities of Chai

As a Hotelier by profession, I can’t digest it.

Wish them success. That’s all I could do.

I totally agree with you @aaryesdee Sir. Different flavours are made only for making a restaurant special. We can also see it in terms of creativity, which many people want to try.

But definitely, the basic and simple milk tea is the best for me.
