Celebrating women in our community with a new tag and more!

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating YOU – the incredible women of the Local Guides community. Your unique voices and contributions enrich the Google Maps experience for everyone.

We welcome and encourage everyone in our community to help us raise the voices of women in Local Guides and on Google Maps. Are you or someone you know an inspiring woman contributor? Tell us about them! Have you recently supported a women-owned business on Maps? Let us know your experience!

To elevate your stories, we’re introducing a dedicated Connect tag, Women@LocalGuides.

Use it to share motivation, support each other, and connect with other women in our community, such as in this recent series from @Rahul001: “Celebrate International Women’s Week.”

What’s more, we’re working on a special Connect badge that will be awarded on various occasions to celebrate outstanding community members or initiatives supporting women in Local Guides and beyond. Be sure to keep an eye out on Connect this month and throughout the year.
