Today, I’m feeling incredibly proud and grateful as I mark a major milestone in my Local Guides journey—9 years of helping people explore the world through Google Maps! 
What started almost a decade ago as a simple effort to add missing places and share reviews has turned into a lifelong passion. Over these 9 years, every photo, edit, and answer has been aimed at making Maps more helpful and accurate for everyone.

The Turning Point: Bangladesh Local Guides (BDLG)
My mapping journey truly scaled up after joining the Bangladesh Local Guides (BDLG) community. Being a part of this vibrant local community transformed how I map and contribute.
I learned so much about map quality, guidelines, and community building from our respected community leaders and admins—Mahabub Hasan , Gazi Salauddin, Nasim M Joy, Abdus Sattar and Bishwanath Chakraborty. Their guidance and continuous support have been instrumental in improving the quality of my contributions.
Unforgettable Moments & Milestones
One of the highlights of my community journey was participating in the 10th Anniversary Celebration Meetup! Getting to wear the official t-shirt and receiving the special 10th celebration badge alongside fellow passionate Local Guides was an extraordinary experience that I will cherish forever.
