Celebrating 9 Years on Google Maps 2026 marked a special milestone in my journey as a Google Maps contributor — completing 9 wonderful years of contributing to Google Maps
What started as a simple way to explore places and share experiences has gradually become a passion for discovering new destinations, capturing moments, and helping people through useful contributions.
Over these 9 years, I have enjoyed:
Exploring and discovering new places.
Sharing photographs and videos.
Writing reviews and ratings.
Helping others discover local attractions and hidden gems.
Contributing useful information to the Google Maps community.
Today, as a Level 8 Local Guide from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India
I am excited to take this journey further.
My interests have also expanded beyond travel. I love photography, observing insects, discovering biodiversity, and sharing interesting stories about the natural world.
Through Local Guides Connect, I look forward to sharing more travel experiences, insect photography, nature observations, and knowledge with fellow explorers.
Nine years of exploring, learning, sharing, and contributing — and many more discoveries ahead!
A big thank you to the Google Maps and Local Guides community for being part of this journey.
Here’s to more discoveries and meaningful contributions!
