I don’t think I can pick a single moment or event that is best because everyone second spent as a local Guide on Connect or during meet up or during making contribution on maps is worth cherishing…
I had friends that turns to be like family and many more…
I also introduced Hospital Edit walk in 2018.

10 amazing years has been such a wonderful journey, and I am truly excited to be part of the trip, sharing from my small world to the big big world through this program @TiffanyBnyc thank you for bringing this up - I cannot say in word how inspiring and lucky I have been part of Google and Connect.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 outbreak, Pavel and I, along with other local guides @ShafiulB , @ShahMdSultan , launched #BangladeshChallenge to enrich Google Maps in Bangladesh. With support from A2i, we encouraged people to add and update emergency locations like pharmacies, hospitals, and mobile money agents to help citizens access essential services. This initiative played a crucial role in supporting communities during lockdowns.
This effort led to my recognition as a Guiding Star - Helpful Hero in 2020. (Bangladesh Challenge - An initiative for enriching rural Maps in Bangladesh during covid time 2020)
Outcome:* Proper digital map will be created for the whole Bangladesh including remote areas and enrich Google Maps. A total of 31087 youths participated and provided 42993 Locations data in different categories. Out of all participants, *3902 were Local Guides.

Incredible! 10 years ago already… Time flies. 
My favorite moment was by far attending the Connect Live event in California, those are memories I will cherish forever. The unity felt in that event was amazing!

Congratulations, what amazing accomplish 
Hello TiffanyBnyc, thank you for mentioning mile stone of local guide connect. Since we are celebrating 10th anniversary, i have one suggestion. Recently one competition done for Tshirt and logo marking 10th anniversary of local guide. Can all local guides have this T shirt? This will give good feeling and boost to all local guides who contribute to google map continuosly without expecting any rewards.T shirt will give one type of motivation and snall gesture towards thier efforts

It’s exciting to see how this platform brings people together to make a positive impact.
I believe it’s essential to improve the process of editing and adding information. It’s often better to let the person who knows the place well and wants to contribute edits have their say, as they bring firsthand knowledge. In many cases, there is misinformation about places—for example, locations like ponds or sites that people believe to be religious. Sometimes, we’re unable to submit a place under two categories, which adds to the challenge. Additionally, edits by those familiar with the place can get canceled, leaving the misinformation uncorrected.
It would be great if the team could kindly look into improving this process. I’m glad to share these thoughts with everyone, and here’s to making 2025 even better for our community. Happy anniversary once again!
