Celebrate Culture and Support Local: Kokan Mahotsav 2024

The Kokan Mahotsav 2024 has begun and is open until December 8th near Railway Colony Ground, Dombivli West.

Inspired by dear friend @Rahul001 's wonderful post about Celebrate Small Business Saturday and the initiative of @AjitThite dada for #supportlocalbuisness , thought to share this local festival for supporting the cause

This vibrant festival is a haven for foodies, art enthusiasts, toy lovers, bookworms, and families with kids. There’s a spacious play area for the little ones. There are some old school ‘Jatra’(fair) games like shooting balloons, throwing rings and capturing the things under.

The main highlights are Konkan’s specialties like Red Steamed rice, Red Poha, kokam, etc. Each evening also features cultural functions that showcase the rich heritage of the konkan region.

We had an amazing time exploring the stalls, indulging in an authentic fish thali, enjoying a thrilling ride on the giant wheel, and treating ourselves to some nitro ice cream. Had some glimpse of famous konkani drama Dasha - Avatar (10 incarnations of god)

The festive atmosphere, colorful lights, and local crafts make this a perfect way to support small businesses and celebrate Konkan’s culture. :shopping::sparkles:

@SaylliWalve1 I heard about this while I was in Dombivali, but I never had the opportunity to visit. The images look good, and the mohotsaw is nicely covered and described.
