Time spent: 1+ hour

Public transport: buses (from the Portela train station (5 min), Estoril and Cascais).

The new medieval bar and even place (concerts, sword fightings, quiz games, etc). It was created by “a viking”, who gained his business experience during the medieval festivals in Portugal, and decided to open his own bar. To attract more clients he regularly organises different events like folk concerts, medieval combats, games, etc. The location is quite “outside” of the historical Sintra, but you can easily get there by bus from the train station (Sintra or Portela). It’s even better, because some of the events are loud enough to disturb neighbours (like dances with bagpipes and drums till the midnight).

Hi @ShpytkoOleh it’s an interesting place for sure. Can you use those suits for free?
Can you please add the link to Google Maps of this place?
Thank you!

@Silvi most of the things (suits) belong to the combat team from Obidos, which is regularly invited to the bar for different events. Sometimes they allow to use their suits and swords to take photos, but it depends on their event schedule. Kindly take into consideration that the full knight suit is 35-40 kg.

Sword on the walls and other background things belong to the bar, and you can ask the owner to take some photos with it.

In case of any questions you can find him on Instagram: Casa do Viriato.
