Carnaval de Nice

The Nice Carnival is one of the oldest carnivals in the world! It attracts each year around February/March nearly 1.2 million tourists coming from all parts of the world.

This Feburary I got the chance to visit Nice and while my visit I was lucky to witness this great show.

Traditionally, Nice Carnival begins with the arrival of the Carnival King in his Corso Carnavalesque (Carnival Procession) in the Place Massena (Nice’s main square).

The number one tourist attraction in Nice is quite clearly the sea. With 7 kilometres of beach along the Promenade des Anglais.

The beach is made of small pebbles, not sand but it’s great to have long walks.

Hey @Stari ,

What a great experience you had, thanks for sharing it with the community! Nice is not only a lovely city but apparently there are a lot of things to do. I was able to visit it a few years ago and I loved it.

How long did you stay there? Did you see the Negresco Hotel? I remember that it was really beautiful.

Did you visit any other cities from the French Riviera?

Hey @Stari ,

Thanks for the additional photos and information. I’ve never been to Marseilles but Monaco is my favourite place in the whole world. I love the fact that it is small but yet organised. I went there a few years ago and I immediately fell in love with it.

Did you visit the Oceanographic Museum there? I remember it was really nice inside.
