A while back our local High School got taken off of Google Maps. When I noticed I tried to add it back and it was Not Applied. I have tried several times and each time the changes are Not Applied. I am filling out all of the required information and the edits get rejected within minutes.
What am I doing wrong??
How do you determine that the high school is not already on Google Maps?

Because when I search for it it doesn’t come up. And when I zoom in to the location where it should be it’s not on the map.
It would be really helpful if you would use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply.
Did you add a website and a phone number that when checked shows the same school name and address?
Please share more info. School bane, gps coordinats, website, phone number etc. Maybe we can spot wgat you can try to improve.

Yes. The only field I didn’t fill out was the opening date (because I don’t know it) and the hours (because they don’t have regular hours). All other fields were filled out accurately and most were just copied and pasted from the school’s website.

I read everything I could find about the subject including the two articles you linked. Nothing I could find would explain why my submission wouldn’t be approved. The High School was on google maps until a few weeks ago when it seemed to be replaced by a preschool with a similar name. That preschool operates on the High School’s property but as a separate entity.

Yes, it is not super logical that hitting reply does not ensure a notification.
It is a huge building and certainly strange it is not visible and can’t be found via a text search.
I checked the Camas’s Papermaker Preschool if any old reviews would show that this was the previous pin for the high school. But no, it is not. There are no reviews under the Preschool.
It could be that high schools in the area were spammed a lot and hence removed. But normally, the pin will not disappear, only making edits and reviews would be blocked for a period of time.
We can hope @Bobiisha would kindly escalate this. If not, you could seek help on this in the Maps support forum.
