Can't add any photos from my mobile phones on the website.

Hi team,

I’ve been using the web interface to edit/add location information as a Level 10 Local Guider for a long time. However, I’ve encountered a troublesome issue this month:

  1. When I try to add photos, I click on “Upload” for photos from my phone.
  2. After about 10 seconds of loading, the webpage displays an error message saying it couldn’t find any photos. The error message indicates that it’s related to Google+.
  3. Up until a month ago, I was able to quickly upload location information using the “Upload” option for photos from my phone.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance if someone could help with this issue. Thank you!

Hi @GasparH1980

For this to work, you will need:

  1. Be logged in on both devices using the same Google Account.

  2. Have the setting on your phone enable backup from the phone of photos to Google Photos.

Please open Google Photos on your laptop and let me know if you can see the latest photos taken on your phone.

Thanks for reporting the issue, @GasparH1980 .

I can confirm it, and it seems to be an old message that appear randomly on the web interface only when you select the option “Photos from phone”.

I’ve escalated the issue times ago, so I am tagging here @MashaPS for a check.

As you are on mobile you can avoid the issue just using Google maps App

The team tested the report but were not able to replicate it at the moment. We will continue monitoring if this error appears.

Yes, I’m sync the same google account in both device.

It’s works in July.

I face this issue once in a while, may be once every 10 times, but resolves on its own.

I am encountering the same issue for over a month now and this is put brakes on my ability to actively participate in Local Guides.

I am using the same account and able to see my photos from phone online in Google Photos. Please help.
