App: Google Mas IOS
Problem: related photos/videos are not shown on the list for uploading, so I gave up uploading often.
When: When I choose and post related photos from my photo album.
Settings: “allow all the photos”
It’s been long years to have this problem and I’d like to know the reason.

I remember this has been reported before. One user figured out that if he duplicated the latest photo in his camera roll (on his iPhone) then one of the two would show up in Maps. I think this issue has been escalated. Am I correct on this, @DeniGu ?

Can you please share a bit more about your issue:
When you say that “related photos/videos are not shown”, do you mean that similar/duplicate photos and videos don’t appear on the list, or just any photos/videos that are related to the place you want to upload them to?
From where are you trying to upload media: from the Explore tab in Maps, from Contribute > Add photos, from the place’s page on Maps, or directly from your Gallery app?
Are your Location Services on?
What’s the version of your Google Maps app?

It took a long time for me to understand the issue then. I believe this is the same bug @L-coco just reported.

Thank you for sharing the other thread from January, @MortenCopenhagen , that’s super helpful!
While the earlier issue has been escalated, @L-coco mentioned that they’d been unable to see all related photos/videos for years, so I wanted to check if it’s a different case. The report from January said that the issue had started recently, in October/November 2023.

was started,but it’s definitely been a while and not every time.
So im not sure what conditions makes it photo invisible.(if it’s not duplicated imige).
So this has been fixing now?

photo is not always duplicated or similar imige.
when i choose photo, path is 3patterns.
(1) place >> “add a photo usdate”
(2) photo gallery>>“add photos”
(3) place>> “rate and review” >> Rate & choose photos
Location service: while using app.
Version: 6.102.3
today i uplodaded some data and wasn(t any problem. it comes and goes, next time when i have this error, let me screenshot.

Sorry for missing your comments! Please make sure to tag community members by typing the @ mark and then slowly typing the person’s username. This triggers a notification, and the person can quickly find your comment and respond.
We received confirmation from the team that this issue should be fixed now. Can you please check and let me know if everything works as it should on your end? You might need to update your Google Maps app.
