Cannot reach server and Unable to resolve details.

I update the Google Maps application on my mobile phone. The updated version is “Version 5.18”. A few days ago I noticed that there’s a problem when I searching for a place, It shows “Cannot reach server”. Today it getting worse because I can’t search for any place in Google Maps because it is continuously showing me “Cannot reach server” and when I tap on a place which is already in my reviews, The place loading but doesn’t show me any details. It’s showing me this message “Unable to resolve details”. I also noticed there’s some issue with my contribution points too. I checked my contribution points 3 am in the morning today and it showed me 7599 points and I rechecked it again at 4 pm in the evening and it showed me 7556 points and now it’s showing me 7571 points. I don’t know what to do. Actually, now I can’t search for any place in Google Maps. I’m using iPhone 6 and it is also updated to the latest iOS 12.3. I attached a photo of map errors. Does it okay, if I reinstall the application again. If I reinstall the application, does it affect my data or my contributions? I’m using Google Maps on my computer and it’s working perfectly but my contribution points still showing me as 7571 points. @AngieYC

No worries and I’m happy to help.

One of the question that I can answer now is re-installing the Google Maps application wont affect any of your contribution, since it is linked with your Google account.

You can try to re-install the application and get back to me. Please let me know if you are still facing the same issue.

I reinstalled the application and now it’s working perfectly better than before. I noticed that Google Map performing faster than before. All is well! But still, my points showing as 7,571. I hope it will update soon. Thank you very much for your support. :pray::pray::blush:
