Welcome to the first meetup of Google Local Guides residing in the beautiful state of Colorado. I would like to invite all Google local Guides in the state of Colorado to join us for a meet and greet at the Union Station in Denver, Colorado. The plan is to gather all local guides of Colorado who would be interested in organizing more meetups to plan how we can explore Colorado and create more awareness on Google maps, by going on photo walks, editing maps, adding places, in short creating awareness to help the people who either live or visit Colorado. We all can meetup outside the Union Station, and once everyone has reached the venue, we can pick a place to sit down, have a meet and greet, eat some delicious food and treat ourselves with a drink or two. I suggest that everyone brings their phones, a photo ID in case you need it to enter into a bar/restaurant or to buy drinks and lastly, a means to pay for your food/drinks unless Google decides to sponsor this event I am sure that we all can have a great time, also we can come up with some brilliant ideas to make this world a better place. Thank you so much for setting this up! I plan to attend however, I maybe late do to work. As of right now, I am the only one attending(with my husband) if that ends up being the case, can we push it back a bit?
Thanks for reaching out, yeah, I have not had time to market this meetup as such. I will try to get more local guides to attend this event. If we cannot get more than 10 guides then probably we will have to push it to another date.
I am from North Dakota and will not be attending, but I love Colorado and am more than happy to share on my social media and in some of the communities I am involved with. I can also look for a few places to post on local CO event & Info boards! Good Luck CO Google Guides!
Hi, do you still plan on attending the meetup tonight? I am trying to get an exact head count to move forward with the meetup or otherwise cancel it for now.
I am really sorry to cancel this meetup but even upon posting multiple announcements and replies, I did not receive a positive feedback, also 3 of the attendees were out of country which would have left us with a possible of 7 attendees with no guarantee that everyone would show up. Once again, my apologies, and hope to organize a better meetup next time.
