Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre is Canada’s best cross-country ski area. It’s centrally located in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, it’s easy to get to with a quick twenty-minute drive from the City of Vernon.
I fell in love with the mountain resort a few years ago after visiting the nordic oasis with friends in Calgary, Alberta. The most interesting thing I’ve done as a local guide was move to this beautiful place last year and make a dream come true! The local guides program is an amazing tool that gets people out exploring, making their world a bigger and more beautiful place and encouraging positive experiences.
Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre is Canada’s winter wonderland, with a world-class cross-country ski venue located within Silver Star Provincial Park with amazing views of British Columbia’s Monashee Mountain range.
Sovereign Lake Nordic Center combined with Silver Star Mountain Resort provide over 60 miles/103 km of cross-country ski trails. Canada’s largest continuously groomed trail network.
