Hi, I am from Quebec city.

The weather in september is mild, temperature can reach 20°C and can go down to 5°C during the night. So… take a jacket!

I don’t know your tastes, but you can try some “casse croute” (snack) along the road. You should try to eat some “Poutine” (dish that includes french fries cheese curds topped with a brown gravy)

For beer… there is a lot of microbrewery just check on Google Maps for “microbrasserie”

I traveled a lot by train between Quebec and Montreal, It’s slow (more than 3 hours) and expensive. The landscape is not really the most beautiful. You’d better to rent a car (you’ll be more free to make stops to observe the landscape).

To stay in Quebec, choose hotels near the old Quebec (Hotel Le Concorde, Hotel Hilton Quebec, Quebec City Marriott Downtown, Hotel Palace Royal, Hotel Delta, Hotel Chateau Laurier,… )

I hope it will Help.

Places to visit :

  • Citadelle de Quebec
  • Plaine d’abraham
  • Chateau Frontenac
  • Old Quebec
  • Place Royale Quartier le petit Champlain
  • Fortifications of Quebec National Historic site of Canada
