[Camping] Friendly site for all "Kirirom National Park"

Kirirom National Park is an old town, located in Kompong Speu province, which is about 100km away from Phnom Penh.

It was dearly cherished by the late King Norodom Sihanouk in 1960s and even named the town as “the Mountain of Joy”. It has over thirty five thousand hectares of land. The most attractive one over there is pine trees. Nowhere else in Cambodia has so many pine trees like that. The weather is always chilling.

The town might have been abandoned during the civil war but the mountain itself has never been abandoned and is always visited by local people, especially since day tour from Phnom Penh can be done easily.

What can be expected there?

  • A waterfall
  • Pine trees
  • Picnic area
  • Camping area
  • Sport area
  • V Kirirom Resort, nice open air restaurant, a swimming pool and a University by Japanese investors.

Video of the site

The place is very convenient for family camping, group camping, leisure staff retreat activities that do not require critical adventure. It is very famous for motorbike racing events as well.

It is best for the weekend away from home.

This is my 3rd series of Camping in Cambodia article

  1. Glamping experience at Cardamom Tented Camp
  2. Basic camping - food when camping
  3. Friendly camping site - Kirorom National Park, here.

Hahah, it was full when I went there @MukulR so I only had a chance to have a quick look. It has a double bed for two people, and of course an aircon.

It looks cozy though

Interesting story behind this @TusharSuradkar
I was invited for an interview to be a lecturer at the university there back in 2018, so I did not pay a thing. It could have costed me about 150$ for 1N2D there, including food, transport and the bell tent they let me stay there.

Još jedna Vaša odlična objava @Sophia_Cambodia

Lijepe i zanimljive fotografije.
