Your idea is great. Just to let you know that over time we have had unofficially social media groups for Local Guides (Globally and countrywide). There is a group on Facebook and Telegram currently. Maybe that will work for you?

For my country, we have groups on Whatsapp and Telegram. For African region, there’s a Telegram group too.
