So, this isn’t entirely related to Local Guides, but it is a little. I’ve noticed that some businesses appear when you zoom into a Google Map, but some others never show up - even though they’re fully registered with Google MyBusiness, and they show up in searches, etc… just not when you zoom in.
Any idea as to what may cause this and how it can remedied?
@LocalK I have the same experience and I think it’s not possible for Google Maps to show all entities in a location even when zoomed in because it could make the Maps view very cluttered especially in a busy area. Exactly which ones get shown, personally I don’t know the methods behind (maybe @GeorgesHR can help with some insights for this).
Personally for me, it’s not an issue as long as everything is searchable.
However, there’s a “semi” workaround to this.
In Desktop Maps, at any point, you can right click on Maps, and select “What’s here”, and the nearest location will show up.
or in Maps app, long press, until the red pin appears and it will say Dropped Pin near xyz
