Such a lovely book store ![]()
Thank you, @Maximilianozalazar !
There are quite a few books by Borges that are translated into Bulgarian and English, and I see them every time I go to the bookstore (or open a bookstore website to browse
). Maybe I should pick up one. Do you have a recommendation?
Now THAT’s a fantastic place to host a meet-up, @MahabubMunna ! Thanks a lot for this bookstore recommendation, I’m adding it to my ‘want to go’ list right away.
Your photos are gorgeous.
@JanVanHaver I can definitely relate to your reading habits. One thing that makes me excited about finishing a book is the opportunity to choose my next read. ![]()
What kind of fiction and non-fiction do you usually read? I find it hard to focus on non-fiction books unless they’re about something that really interests me at the moment - like building a healthy relationship with your pet dog. ![]()
As for the small cabinets with books, I remember @Erna_LaBeau introducing the Little Free Library initiative in the U.S. All of those are also categorized as ‘Library’ on Maps (like this one). I’ve seen such cabinets in Bulgaria, too, but they aren’t close to private residencies. It’s a great idea though!
Thank you for your recommendation, @AnuradhaP ! Just added it to my list of bookshops to visit. ![]()
You’ve included really helpful and interesting details in your review, but the one that stood out to me was your introduction of the children’s section. I adore children’s books and have a shelf at home that’s dedicated only to children’s literature. It’s great to know that children have a space to sit and read at the Sarasavi Bookshop.
Visiting a Barnes & Noble is high on my to-do list, @TiffanyStockstill , so thank you for adding it here! I love how you shared in your review that local authors are well presented at the bookstore close to you. That’s super important, in my opinion.
@DeniGu in fiction I like to read books by good storystelles, such as John Irving and Haruki Murakami. For non-fiction, it can really be anything, although most of them tend to be related to economics, history and all things cyber. I escpecially like books that people have been working on for 15 years or so, as those tend to contain a lot of high-value insights. An excellent example of that is Why Nations Fail , and I should of course also mention Never Lost Again, which tells the story of Google Maps.
Great post for book lovers and us all @DeniGu . We have been roaming around Wellington to find some cozy places to read and relax. I know @indahnuria will enjoy this post ![]()
Hudson Valley Books for Humanity is a very unique book store. It’s living room like ambiance has a serendipitous quality offering wonderful encounters with an in-depth selection of literary works.

Hello.
One of my favorite places in Buenos Aires is this awesome bookstore named “El Ateneo Grand Splendid”. This bookstore was placed in an old theater and preserve the fashioned style of the earliest XX century in my city.
to my review on Maps, and time ago I wrote a post here about this place, you can find more information about it Here
Silvy.
oh, how beautiful those places are! look nice @DeniGu thank you for sharing these.
I love the concept of little library @DeniGu not too many choices of books but we can work with what we have it also based on trust basis and if someone has books to share that’s the place.
My goal is to add every little library I found to Google map ![]()
Thank you so much @AngieYC for tagging me on international books day…![]()
