Boljoon is one of the oldest towns in Cebu. In 1598, Spanish Augustinian missionaries found Malay natives settled there. Boljoon is derived from local word “bolho” which means springs of water.
Boljoon is 103 kilometers from Mactan Airport. You can stop here on your way to Oslob, Samboan, Ginatilan. Coming from Manila Airport fly to Mactan, take a taxi to Cebu South Terminal (1 hour and fare of P200) and then take a bus to Boljoon. Travel time is about 3 hours and the fare is P120.
