Bogota, walk and breathe it in.

What I like to share the most in Google Maps are the sites I visit alone, with my girlfriend, family or friends. It’s necessary to tell people our experience in these places and even better if they are not that well known sites or if people have never heard of them.

In this post I want to tell you about an incredible site that I did not know, but that I was interested visiting because of the photos I searched on Google, it’s a place where you can hike, breathe fresh air and get rid of the chaos of the city for a while.

I present the Cerro de la Aguadora Trail, a place to walk and meet nature. The tour starts in the “carrera primera” with “calle 116” (North of the city) and it can take between 40 and 60 minutes to complete it; a trail that takes us to a beautiful path in the middle of the native vegetation until we reach the first viewpoint and we get to appreciate an amazing view of the city.

What I liked the most during the tour is to see the pine and eucalyptus forests, trees with more than 50 meters and a lot of history.

I wanted to share this site because it’s a place that many do not dare to visit because of the little information that there is about it, but thanks to the people who have visited it before, their experience is able to be shared with others. It’s important that we know and do these outdoor activities because Bogotá has become a city with a lot of cars and pollution, and this place allows us to breathe pure air.

I like to share places that people do not know exist in the city that’s what us, the local guides, are for; to share our life experience, that you can find in these posts and in Google Maps, that’s the importance of contributing to this service, to unveil incredible places that we have so close to us.

Comment on this post or tell me which is your favorite place to escape from the city.

Greetings friends.

Do you offer guided tour of this trail?

Hi @Edo_cruz84

Thank you for sharing your post. It looks like a wonderful place. How high up is it? It’s good to go somewhere with a bit of fresh air and recharge from the busy city life.

How long was your hike? Are there any trails marks to follow? Your photos are great. Do you often go hiking?
