Boca Marina is one of my favorite places to visit in the Dominican Republic. It’s just a short $15 Uber from Santo Domingo and you get this whole place to yourself. It’s also a popular destination for weddings due to the lovely views. Don’t let Trip Advisor’s price rating of $$$ fool you, Boca Marina is incredibly affordable compared to other tourist areas and its private beach water is a dream to swim in.
I took the bridal party for a wedding here and between the eight of us and our food and drinks, our bill ended up being a little over $115 USD put together. Now that’s a good deal. Santo Domingo, sadly does not have any beaches to visit, so if you’re craving to be in the ocean while visiting the Capitol city on your vacation take a cheap Uber out to this area and enjoy your time here! The water is closed by sundown so go in early if you want to go swimming.

Definitely the mojito, which is weird for me to say because I’m always a Pina Colada girl. But they told us they were really popular for their mojitos so we ordered some and they did NOT disappoint!
Also, The bridal party was a bit of a whirlwind but I made some new friends and had a lot of fun regardless haha I think that’s how all bridal parties go though, if you ask me.

And I highly recommend the Octopus with the vinagrette. It’s definitely more “exotic” as far as foods go, but the taste doesn’t disappoint! If you’re feeling not-so-adventurous, their calamari entrees are really good too!
