Bir Billing -Himachal Pradesh

Hello guys wishing you all a Happy Tuesday :grinning:

If there is heaven on earth it’s right here if you ever plan to travel Himachal keep Bir Billing in your wish list and thank me later. Tap to see Bir

Bir is a village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. The town got its name from the very famous ancient temple of lord Shiva (Baijnath) which is situated there.

Bir is also famous for Tibetan colony and Buddhists monasteries. Baijnath mandir is located nearly 13 km from bir. It is also rate one of the best place to experience for Paragliding it is also referred Capital of paragliding.

The best time you can visit bir Billing from March to May that’s summer you can enjoy the pleasant weather and you can also explorer many local places. Even it’s a best time for doing paragliding.

Himachal morning are the best wake up early go for a walk and enjoy the most beautiful view of the mountains with pure air no pollution.

Maggie you must have when you in Himachal " Pahadi Maggie " is the specialty it is super duper spicy the owner understood we won’t be able to bare so he made less spicy for us.

Village people are very simple they believe in pure basic food during our trip we told them we want to have some fancy Indian curry and Indian bread they said they will make it but in their simple way and with home made butter trust me it was really delicious.

Activities you can do during your visit
1)Camping
2)Trekking
3)Mountain biking
4)Meditation

The most adventurous things is Hand Gliding also take place if you like to take experience like you flying like a bird having wings in your hand this is rite place to experience but you really need to be here for long time coz you have to take proper training it takes at least 2 to 3 months to get your self trained (spokesperson of the local)

Things to do around

  1. Enjoy the local cafes
  2. visit the top view of billing
  3. Shop from the bir town
    4)Bangoru waterfalls
  4. Baijnath Temple
  5. Tibetan colony
  6. Sherbaling Monastery

How to reach bir billing

Toy train is one of the best experience you should take once in a lifetime it passed through the beautiful mountains and lush greenery the journey last around 12 hours from pathankot to joginder nagar railway station. From Joginder Nagar to bir is just 14.3km. There is no direct flight to bir billing you can drive by yourself if you know how to drive on mountains i suggest to take local driver.

I am attaching small video of my morning walk in bir just have a look.

So have you ever been to this beautiful place or anywhere in Himachal kindly share your thoughts in the comment box.
