Big Ben or Elizabeth Tower?

Hi,

I am sure(?) you are all aware of “Big Ben” in London, England. A very famous place and landmark next to the Houses of Parliament.

The term “Big Ben” is actually the name of the large bell inside the “Elizabeth Tower” which, is the factually correct name for the place.
It would be nice if Google were to accept the name change of the correct definition but, I have tried to do this and it was not accepted.
I will still be calling it by its correct name….The Elizabeth Tower!!!

Hi @user_not_found

The best way to deal with such data issues is to write a post in the Maps support forum.

You need to add plenty of official references/documentation supporting your suggestion and hope one of the experts will escalate the matter to the relevant Google staff team.

As a visitor I would prefer the “incorrect” name though.

Cheers

Morten
