Some time ago, a friend of mine visited Bangalore city, so I talked to him and asked him how did you like Bangalore, what did you like, what did you see, and which places should I go and shop, so he told me a few things which he thought of. I will share them with you people as well. He told me that he saw the city from a completely different perspective and gave me a list of three highlights of his entire trip.

To Do List

He told that he explored these places in Bangalore, which show the beauty of this city

Lalbagh Botanical Garden
He said that this place is a peaceful place amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

Bangalore Palace
He said that this palace is like Windsor Castle in England. He really enjoyed seeing the architecture and royal history here.

Malagudi filter coffee.
He praised the special filter coffee here.In our time, this used to be a favourite serial of all of us friends, Malgudi Days on Doordarshan.

If you are in South India and especially in Bangalore city, then do not forget to try Dona Biryani Because this dona is made with banana leaves and other leaves which gives it a completely different taste. The aroma is different.

Shopping list!

Silk Saree: Silk saree is a famous identity of the South.

Sandalwood Items: Karnataka is also famous for sandalwood items. You can buy sandalwood oil and some idols from here.

South Indian Coffee Powder: You can take good quality filter coffee powder from here for your home to feel the taste of Bangalore. We can make our trip memorable with these small things.

If you are an art lover, you must see the Tanjore art here, which is made of 22 carat gold and 24 carat gold!

Funfact
By the way, let me tell you one interesting thing that this city is the city of our old family friends.

IN-SHORT
If Bangalore is the Silicon Valley of India, it is also the Garden City of India and the bastion of the rich cultural heritage of the South of India.

Hi @ShailendraOjha ,

I actually lived in Bangalore for a few years — and I’m from Karnataka too! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just a small correction in your post: it’s not Dona Biryani but Donne Biryani. The word donne refers to the eco-friendly leaf cup (usually made from areca/palm leaves) in which it is served. That leaf adds a distinct aroma to the dish, and you’ll find Donne Biryani in many military hotels and restaurants across almost every area of Bangalore.

Since you mentioned food, here are some must-try spots:

  • VV Puram Food Street (Thindi Beedi) – A paradise for street food lovers.
  • Vidyarthi Bhavan – Iconic for its crispy benne masala dosa.
  • The Rameshwaram CafĂ© – Very popular for dosas and idlis.
  • Karavalli Restaurants – If you want a fine-dining experience of coastal cuisine.

And when it comes to places to visit in Bangalore:

  • Lalbagh Botanical Garden – Peaceful, historic, and full of greenery.
  • Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace & Bangalore Fort – For a glimpse of history.
  • ISKCON Temple – A spiritual and architectural landmark.
  • Bannerghatta Biological Park (Zoo & Safari) – A fun place for nature and wildlife lovers.
    Many more…

Yes, @saidevadiga I know it is called “Donne (दोने)” South but here in Hindi speaking areas we call it Dona. So I used it and I knew that someone from Karnataka will definitely jump in and clarify this and add more to the list,
Thanks dear @saidevadiga after all we are Indians.

Dear @ShailendraOjha Thank you for tagging me. I love gardens as much as I love beaches. Unfortunately Bangalore is not a coastal city, So will make do with gardens.

your image is very colorful and nice. Looking forward to exploring as many as possible

Hello @ShailendraOjha , thank you for mentioning me.
The AI image that you generated was so cool! I love it!

2 weeks to Bangalore, and I can’t wait to maximize my time.
I adore Bangalore Palace. It’s so classic and luxury.

And oh, as a coffee fan, I definitely can’t miss to try and bring back South Indian coffee :hot_beverage:
Please bring me there, too @TusharSuradkar :folded_hands:t2::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
