Beyond the Canvas: A Relaxing time at MAP, Bengaluru

Hello LGs,

I want to share my unbelievable experience at the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), Bengaluru!

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, @TravellerG sir hosted the mega meet-up in Bengaluru, starting from Visveswaraya Industrial & Technological Museum and supposed to conclude at Lalbaug Botanical Garden. But we had some spare time before the lunch, so we thought of visiting this Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), which is exactly opposite side of the road. It was a perfect decision, and what an enriching experience it was! As an evid art enthusiast myself, I immediately began walking towards it! :slightly_smiling_face:

MAP is a true gem for art lovers, with a diverse collection of Indian art, textiles, photography, and contemporary exhibits. The thoughtfully curated galleries transport you through time, offering a glimpse into India’s artistic heritage while also celebrating modern creativity.

The interactive digital exhibits were a standout feature, adding a new dimension to art appreciation. The museum’s rooftop café and well-stocked library are ideal places to relax after exploring. I was also impressed by their commitment to accessibility and engaging educational programs.

Whether you are an art lover or simply curious about culture, MAP is a must-see! It beautifully bridges tradition and innovation, making art more accessible to everyone.

Note: The entry is free, but there is any event, then they charge as the organisers’ decision.

My review of the museum is here.

It was another fantastic day spent in Bengaluru! Thanks for the mega meet-up by TravllerG, sir!

Cheers!

Though I am not a big fan or art, especially abstract art, the MAP museum looks enticing :+1:
