Beyond Burgers in Poland - vegan & vegetarian paradise

Have you ever wanted to try something so bad, that you traveled hundreds of kilometers/miles to eat it? I know I have!

Have you ever dreamed of a burger with plant based patty, that tasted meaty, smoky and had the right texture? I know I have!

I’ve heard of Impossible foods and then Beyond Meat (companies that can fulfill this dream of vegetarian, yet ‘meaty’ burgers) during CES2019 conference.

In April 2019 I traveled couple of hundred kilometers to Gdansk, to visit House of Seitan, the first bistro in Poland, that serves the almighty Beyond Burger. The place itself has trendy vibe and is run by cool young girls. The Beyond Burger is great, however they specialize in vegan Polish cuisine.

Then, a month later, my favourite vegetarian place of all times, Krowarzywa, opened in Poznań and yes, they started serving the Beyond Burgers as well. It was worth going to Gdańsk, but I am happy to have the best vegan burgers close by.

In fact I’m fascinated about the Polish Vegan and vegetarian culture build within the last years.

Poland was the first country I visited a Humus restaurant, Vegan Burger restaurant.

Plant based meat substitutes are definitely here to stay @Roxie_foxie , and I see more and more interesting choices everywhere. Lately I heard that even Burger King has made a plant based burger.

I must say these burgers look really delicious and I think it’s great that more and more places start serving these meatless dishes, even though I’m not a vegetarian.

I’ll have this place in mind and make sure to stop by if I’m ever in Poznań.
