Strange but new thing @PankajKukreti03 actually we do have similar situation in Cambodia where people verbally told each other where there are haunted places [it can be hotels, guesthouses or places]. I wonder if we can actually list these places because it might damage someone’s business, like hotel, guesthouses. If they are known to public, then people would stop going to those mentioned places. Not so sure if this is a good idea to put in the map :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Sophia_Cambodia Thanks for bringing this topic. You were correct regarding the circumstances and conditions, however since I live close to some of these locations where people are aware of this information, sometimes they even create amusing films online to spoof it.

I’ll keep that in mind the next time I publish, and I appreciate your concern. Have a great day.

It is tragic and unfortunate to see that Chandigarh has a hostel named after Savitribai Phule - the person who 150 years ago fearlessly started the women’s literacy movement in India when illiteracy and superstition were at their peak. She was the torch bearer for education and literacy, especially for the girls and together with her spouse, the great Mahatma Jyotirao Phule started the first Girls’ High school in India. Pune university which attracts the highest number of overseas students to India from across the world proudly bears her name.

It is especially saddening that a hostel bearing her name and located in the flourishing city of Chandigarh considered to be a glorious symbol of modern India is also associated with superstition.

My previous impressions of Chandigarh were like a beautiful lotus in the dirt of Punjab and Haryana where even today female illiteracy and female feticide rates are the highest in the country, but it turns out this city is no different.

I am aware of several artificial haunted houses in India that are a part of amusement parks and people buy tickets to experience the thrill @PankajKukreti03 but it seems there are some seriously haunted places out there in Chandigarh. I pity the students of the hotel who see headless ghosts moving around.

Headless ghosts, for real @TusharSuradkar ? Wow… that’s something so thrilled.

I mean well @PankajKukreti03 I did not mean your article is not good. So far, haunted places are for word-of-mouth but if someday it become a list in Google Map, in Cambodia it is different stories. Businesses would lose its clients. Several hotels that has some people died in often changed their name so that they can still operate. Some people who don’t know never saw anything…
