Best Tips To Reach To Da Nang Golden Bridge, Ba Na Hill 2020

In my previous post, I shared with you about some famous bridges in Da Nang, Vietnam. Today, I am going to show you more details about Da Nang Golden Bridge: how to get there, ticket price, best time to visit and other relevant information that is truly helpful for your upcoming trip. As one of the locations that are highly appreciated by both domestic and international architectural magazines, so what is special about Da Nang Golden Bridge, let’s together explore with me!

LOCATION OF DA NANG GOLDEN BRIDGE

8:00AM – after we have had a full stomach with a bowl of delicious Vietnamese-style fish cake with vermicelli, take a cup of coffee for entirely waking up, we started going from the center of Da Nang to Ba Na hill. Golden Bridge is a unique and famous architectural masterpiece – the pride of Da Nang residents located at Thien Thai garden – Ba Na hill tourist area, Da Nang city. Ba Na hill is a tourist area located in an area belonging to Truong Son mountain range, Hoa Ninh commune, Hoa Vang district which takes 25 kilometers to the Southwest of Da Nang.

HOW TO GET TO DA NANG GOLDEN BRIDGE?

There are various ways to get to Da Nang Golden Bridge such as taxi, bus, motorbike, car or 16-seat bus which depends on your budget and how you would like to experience your trip.

Taxi

It is appropriate for a group of 5-7 persons, especially in the hot season of the Central of Vietnam, this is a perfect transportation to escape the heat wave…but cost is quite expensive which is around 500.000 – 700.000 VND (20$ – 30$). However, I still would like to suggest some brands for anyone who may have a need:

  • Vinasun Green taxi (0236.3.68.68.68)
  • Mai Linh Da Nang taxi (0236.3.56.56.56)
  • Hang Khong taxi (0236.3.27.27.27)
  • Datranco taxi (0236.3.815.815),…

Self-drive car rental service

There is another way which is more economical than traditional taxies around 10% – that is mioto.vn – a self-drive car rental service. This is also truly convenient and appropriate for a group of 4-7 persons or a family that helps us be more flexible about timing. Just one click or a call (19009217), you can easily rent any types of cars you love with fast payment and deliver a car to your own home/hotel.

Bus

This is a good idea without much consideration but it’s really popular to the young generation thanks to its convenience. I found that there are many brands on the Internet such as Da Nang bus, Da Nang Xanh, Da Thanh Travel, divui.com,…the ticket price is from 120.000 – 130.000 VND/adult/ two ways.

Motorbike

Our team finally chose motorbikes as the main transportation to the Golden Bridge that we could enjoy fresh air, see the blue sky and can be flexible about the timing. We followed the route from the center of Da Nang (Han river bridge) to Dien Bien Phu – Le Duan. After that, from Dien Bien Phu turning to Highway 1A – turning left into Ba Na – Suoi Mo/ Hoang Van Thai and slowly following signs which are put along the streets, you will quickly go to Ba Na hill tourist area.

TICKET PRICE – DA NANG GOLDEN BRIDGE

In order to get to Da Nang Golden Bridge, everyone is required to buy tickets to the entrance of Ba Na hill with the prices that vary depending on the festive seasons or peak tourist seasons. Tickets can be bought online at home in advance, or you can buy them along the way at the ticket agents or at the counter when you get to Ba Na hill tourist area. Our group finally chose to buy tickets at the ticket agent from the acquaintance, ticket prices may fluctuate as follow:

THE BEAUTY OF DA NANG GOLDEN BRIDGE

And….let’s go to the most important part…just looking at the online photos or from those who already came back from Da Nang Golden Bridge, you may feel excited thanks to its magnificence and impressiveness.

The Golden Bridge is designed by TA Landscape Architecture Company with an altitude of 1414 meters and 150 meters in length, it creates a walkway in the mid-air – a misty landscape like a fairy-tale place which connects areas of Ba Na hill such as Marseille station, Thien Thai garden as well as Le Jardin D’Amour flower garden. The entire masterpiece is solidly designed by great experts to be able to cope with the harshness of Da Nang weather. The abutment is made from reinforced concrete, the piers and legs are made from steel pipes. In addition, the bridge shell is covered by steel sheets of gold emulsion, combined with handrail made from inox with titan plating, creating bright shine when there is sunlight. And the bridge deck is made from pure wood with the advantage of high durability, which can resist worms and termites.

And, the most important thing that has impressed me very much is two cosmic mossy hands which seem to keep the whole bridge into the heart, so it also has another name which is Bridge of Hands. Standing on the bridge, travelers also have a chance to see the far-flung primeval forests stretching thousand kilometers with the panoramic view of a beautiful city of Da Nang.

The Golden Bridge was inaugurated in 2018 that has come into operation just over one year. Despite of a short period of establishment, it has soon caught a huge attraction from both domestic and foreign travelers and has been introduced on many popular newspapers all over the world such as Architecture Magazine Archdaily (USA), Reuters (UK), Fox News channel (USA) or India Times channel (India),…

BEST TIME TO VISIT DA NANG GOLDEN BRIDGE

As my experience, the best suitable time in a year to visit Da Nang Golden Bridge is the summer, it is exact from early April until the end of August. As in this period, the weather in Da Nang is less rainy but much sunny which is truly perfect for outdoor activities. During the day, you guys should arrange to go sightseeing the Golden Bridge in early morning or evening, when the weather is cool, mild and the tourists are still not crowed. Youngsters can fully indulge themselves into the fresh air and take lots of amazing photos without having crowed.

SOME GREAT TIPS TO VISIT DA NANG GOLDEN BRIDGE

  • Regarding girls, you definitely must use sun cream although the weather in Ba Na hill is still cool and fresh. There is still a little bit sunshine during the afternoon if you go in summer, your skin will be affected significantly for spending the whole day at Ba Na hill.
  • What to wear? Regarding man, you can wear as simple as jeans, T-shirt, a jean jacket and do not forget a great hat. It’s good enough for your posts and shelter from the sun also. Regarding woman, a big dress or a skirt with a crop top and a brimmed hat is the best idea for your convenience and nice photos. A common attention for man and woman as well, you should choose the most comfortable sneaker since Ba Na hill is very wide and you have to walk a lots, it may cause blistering if you wear high-heeled shoes or thin sandals.
  • Food: The best solution for your lunch is buffet package that you do not need to think with much consideration. Our team bought buffet tickets together with the entrance tickets along the way at the ticket agents. Our trip was in July, 2019, the buffet ticket is 225.000 VND (~10$)/ticket/person at Beer Plaza restaurant. Additionally, we also bought mineral water and light snack in advance to fuel before the mealtime. It’s really important for your attention.

Yay, that’s it for our best experience to Da Nang Golden Bridge. I do hope that it is helpful information for you to prepare and equip the best conditions in order to get the wonderful memories when visiting the magnificent masterpiece of our country – the Golden Bridge – the pride of Da Nang residents.

Great post, great photos and great looking bridge @UyenHuynh I love the design. I can see why Da Nang Golden Bridge with it’s two cosmic mossy hands would be acclaimed by both domestic and international architectural organisations, magazines and newspapers and of interst to both local and international tourists. Yes Da Nang residents should be very proud of their bridge. I think the cable car would be a geat experience. Did you take any photo of the wax statues? The hands do remind me of the work of Lorenzo Quinn (son of Anthony Quinn) and in particular the hand on Venice’s Ca’Sagredo Hotel.
