Hello everyone, today i want to share local story related to a shop which provide best tea in Kaniya (a village in Ramnagar District Nainital, Uttarakhand, India). Initially the place was not added in the Maps so couple of days earlier i add this place so that other people can easily find the best tea point near by this area. The shopkeeper serve a good quality of tea which includes ginger, cardamon, clove due to adding these ingredients the taste of tea turn into a fabulous drink. The behaviour of owner is good with the customers, outdoor seating is also available on this shop but this shop only accept cash (any time of online payment not available here) because the place is situated near Himalays so people are not much aware about the online payment modes.
Snacks such as: Samosas, Bread pakora**, potato fries & Bread Omlet** also available on this shop.
Opening Time of shop: 9 Am
Closing Time of shop: 7 Pm

Hi @IshantHP_ig ,
Thanks for sharing!
The photo looks great and it sounds like a really cozy place to relax with a warm cup of tea and some snacks.
Is this your favorite place to go for tea?
I am letting you know that I have relabelled your post to Food & Drink as it fits better here.

Hi @MortenSI thanks for the correction.
Yes it’s a very popular tea point near our institute, here students make some fun and enjoy tea with some tasty Indian snacks.

It’s great to have a regular place to go for tea with your friends @IshantHP_ig .
This tea you’re describing with ginger and cardamom, it that a very traditional Indian tea, or is there a specific one that everyone always drinks?

However ginger and cardamom usually used in tea but everyone has a different method of preparing tea, some used steel/aluminum conatainer but this shop owner make tea in a container which is made with soil. It gives a pleasent taste

That’s sounds interesting @IshantHP_ig , but I can’t quite figure out how the tea is prepared with soil.
Is the tea brewed inside a container made of soil, or am I missing something?

@IshantHP_ig Your post prompting me to visit India. Though I’ve never been to Nainital, the image you shared is sending me familiar vibes.

Yeah! you are right @MortenSI
The shopkeeper used a container which is made with soil.
I want to share a picture of that pot, hope you’ll surprised to see.

Hi @ReemaGandhi
Yeah you can visit Nainital in this season and you can see snow also.
This is so cool @IshantHP_ig , and great for the environment!
Do people then get to take the cup home so they can refill it, or is it the shopkeeper’s cup to reuse?

Hi @MortenSI
Actually there are 2 types of cups in this shop: cup made with soil and a normal cup (which i shared with this post).
But the pot in which the tea is prepared is made with soil too,
after drinking the tea the people can crush the cup or if someone wants to carry it then they can carry too but the shopkeeper not used used the cup (soil cup) to refill it, everyone crush his/her cup near the shop.

Crushing the cups after use sounds like a big mess @IshantHP_ig . I would definitely take it home with me and reuse it for another time.
Does the pot made of soil give a special taste to the tea?

Hi @MortenSI sorry for the late reply
yeah we can use soil cups i always get back to home and use for small plantation because i think its the best use of it, do you have any better idea if yes then share please.
And yes you are right the soil cup gives a good taste of soil when we take the sip of tea because it has a fragrance of our Indian soil so the aroma is attached to my heart and i really like to drink tea in soil cups.
