Best places to visit in Atlanta

Last summer, I and my daughter had the opportunity to visit Atlanta, Georgia, United States. This was my first visit to America, which left a mark in my heart forever. In Atlanta, we have been 2 weeks and I want to share with you those incredible places that we managed to visit.

Hindu Temple of Atlanta

Hindu Temple of Atlanta is one of the worlds largest Hindu temples, and the largest Hindu temple outside India. It is an enchanting temple, totally magnificent, a masterpiece of art. This temple is filled with spirituality, purity, tranquility. I didnt want to leave this place, we sat there and listened to the silence. I have never been to India, but this temple gave me the opportunity to get acquainted with the traditional Indian style.

Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium is the most magical aquarium, his beauty cannot be described in words. It was the largest aquarium in the world from its opening in 2005 until 2012. It is home to tens of thousands of animals. The largest exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium is Ocean Voyager, in which there are whale sharks. Also, I cannot fail to write about the charming dolphin show at the Aquarium, which presents an extensive window for viewing underwater dolphins and an impressive musical theatrical performance that emphasizes the emotional connection between dolphins and people.

World of Coca-Cola

The World of Coca-Cola is a museum, showcasing the history of The Coca-Cola Company. Here you can spend all day interacting with multiple exhibits. There are more than 100 international and domestic beverages made by The Coca‑Cola Company which you can taste. This museum is interesting for both children and adults, there are many exhibits, 4d cinema, a mini-line for the production of Coca-Cola, a capsule with the secret of making Coca-Cola and many many interesting things.

Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain is a monadnoque quartz monzonite dome located in Stone Mountain Park near Stone Mountain (a suburb of Atlanta). It is well known for the largest bas-relief in the world. When we climbed to the summit of the mountain by a walk-up trail, a breathtaking view of the centre of Atlanta opened before us. Also on the mountain you can climb or descend from it by the Skyride aerial tram. Numerous sources call Stone Mountain the largest granite monolith in the world, so this place is worth visiting.

Hi @gandrabur_chik ,

Looks like a really fun trip! Did you travel somewhere else or only in Atlanta? What your favorite thing about Atlanta? I’ve never been there, so I’d love to visit as well. Is it different from your city?

Hi @DanniS during this vacation, we also traveled to Myrtle Beach, a resort city in South Carolina on the Atlantic coast. It is a cozy, well-groomed, small town. We also liked the parks in this city and many beautiful flower beds, and of course the Atlantic Ocean. I am from Kiev (Ukraine), so I can say that in USA everything is not the same as in my city, but I was delighted with this trip.

I can see you had a wonderful experience …

I hope to visit the United States some day.
