For disabled persons: not recommended. The island is a high mountain, and trails are not very suitable for everyone.
(!)Important point: tourist tax is required. Price: 3 EUR, and you need to pay it by your own following the instructions of the official(!) page of the island.
Other important things:
1/Outseason tours (October - April) may be cancelled due to the weather conditions. Normally you will be informed about it several days before the trip.
2/Check in - 45 min before the tour.
3/Drones or similar flying objects are not allowed (security of the local natural habitants).
4/Walking out of the trails is not allowed due to the same reason.
5/Wind. No matter how shiny the weather is, you are passing the ocean with a speed boat. Check your clothes.
6/Local birds eat everything they see. Don’t feed them with the random things, and don’t make rubbish. By the way, the island has its own security.
7/Walking on the boat during the trip is limited due to security reasons.
Berlengas. Walking from the main point to the fort takes 30-45 min. Normally you stay there 3 hours. Also you can get to the fort by additional water transport, but it’s extra paid.
Entrance to the fort: 1 EUR, restaurants / WC - available
Farol: not open for visits
Restaurants and shops: since all the food is imported, and the electricity is generated locally, prices are not low
Things to visit nearby before the trip: the fort and it’s museum, the centre of Peniche, local caves (+2.5 km), city walls (fortifications).
