Bengali Thali at Kali Mandir, CR Park

The Chittaranjan Park Kali Mandir was initially established in 1973 with a small Shiva temple on a small hill in the colony. Later, in 1984, the grander shrine dedicated to Goddess Kali, along with temples for Lord Shiva and Radha-Krishna, was built within the complex.

The canteen at the CR Park Kali Mandir is famous for serving affordable vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in a budget-friendly and neat environment, like a typical ‘dharamshala’ or guesthouse canteen. It is part of a larger complex that includes the temple, a guest house (Yatri Niwas), and a library, and is a central hub for the Bengali community in Delhi especially During Durga Puja.

The dinning hall has framed pictures of famous personalities from Bengal. Service is quick and efficient. The veg options are pretty good and food is served hot

We had the veg thali which was not only cooked in authentic Bengali style but was lip smacking and satisfying.
