Thanks for your feedback. The sunrise photo is taken by my colleague Ms. DIAN. The other 2 were taken with my drone.
Location of the first photo is the stretch of beach just to the left of Santika Beach Resort. The sunrise was taken along the same stretch and the Garuda Head Island is one of the many Islands around Belitung.
The hotel was great… room with fantastic views and excellent service. Only issue is, the location is away from everything. Nothing is within walking distance. However, transportation can be arranged with the hotel reception for a reasonable fee.
If you are in Belitung, dont miss the island hopping tour. The water are crystal clear. Great for snorkelling or just a swim.
According to the guides, best time to do island hopping is between April to September. If thats not on your agenda, Belitung is nice place to relax. People are friendly and welcome visitors and tourists.
The Government and people of Belitung are doing all they can to preserve the islands and coral reefs. They even try to stop tin mining which was carried out in the seas around Belitung.
Tourism had provided the island new income and every visitor and tourist to Belitung contributes to the economy.
So… get there for some great holidays and at the same time, contribute to the conservation efforts of Belitung.
