I already tasted many beers (>350) and Belgian beers are almost always at the top of my list: Trappistes Rochefort 8, St Bernardus Prior 8, Westvleteren XII (Yes, I was able to tast it after a “customs miracle”), many other dense beers, Delirium Tremens, Kwak, Scotch Silly, Hoegaarden Grand Cru, Lindemans Pécheresse, Mort Subite, St-Louis and many other kriek. Of course, I have other beers at the top of my list (like the St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout), but most of top beers of my list are Belgian beers.
The country of the beer is Belgium. Not Germany (or USA), England (but almost), or somewhere else. So, I am planning a visit to Belgium mostly for that reason: tasting beer!
I already found many places to visit (see the address list and the map below), but I want advises from connoisseurs. So, fellow beers tasters, please reply with your recommendations regarding tasting places, or with your best list of beer to taste.
There will definitely be some Belgian beer tasting during #euromeetup19@Bruno_Dery . It will take place in the beautiful city of Ghent, Belgium in June and you can find all the details in this post:
By the way @Bruno_Dery , I guess you will know it already, but as you did not specifically mention it, I don’t want to leave it unmentioned as it is one of my personal favorites: Chimay Blue.
