Hello. I want to tell you about my vacation spot in the fall of 2018. This place is called Belbidi. It is located in Turkey between two famous tourist cities: Kemer and Antalya. This place is practically equidistant from these two cities.
This location provides many advantages for active tourists who want to know the flavor of the local culture and population, and also gives great access to all local attractions.
In this post I will not talk about the climatic features of this region and the sea. Interesting is its location and communication with the local population.
Let me make a small digression and tell about my interests and preferences in traveling. I really like walking and chatting with people. Such preferences are reinforced by the ability to communicate with local residents and learn about their way of life through visiting their everyday places of residence, observing their cultural and everyday habits and customs, and the manner in which they communicate with each other and with foreigners. It is very interesting to see everyday life and life instead of the scenery of resort towns. The social life of people on our planet is very diverse from country to country.
Let’s go back to this quiet place called Belbidi. This town is unremarkable, but taking into account the above, it gives excellent opportunities in understanding the life of ordinary residents of Turkey.
The town is located along the road connecting the cities of Antalya and Kemer. Both cities are located at a distance of 15-20 kilometers from it. This allows you to visit both of these cities by taxi or local transport.
A trip to any of these destinations will cost you no more than 2-3 dollars, depending on the chosen transport. Another option for your personal mobility is to rent a car, motorcycle or scooter. This service on the example of a car will cost you about $ 40. If you have a company of 2-4 people, a very nice rental price for one person comes out. In principle, the same thing will happen with the rental of a scooter or motorcycle.
Local street tour guides offer a wide range of guided tours around the area. I advise you to carefully pay for these services. Surely walking and finding out the prices in this market of local services, you will find the most advantageous offer, and if you still know how to bargain. This purchase will give you a lot of pleasure. In general, in this place, as in any southern country, they like to bargain. I advise you to do this actively!
As for gastronomic addictions, I recommend that you try the local tea and coffee without fail. It is most pleasant and interesting to do this, as the locals do it.
If you want to eat safely and tasty and satisfy your gastronomic interest, then this is worth doing in establishments where you see many locals. Of course, this can not always be a quiet and pleasant place … But you will definitely see many unusual and interesting people around you.
Locals easily make contact and communication. Most of them know Russian and English well. Young people are on friendly terms with English.
The more you interact with local people, the more economic benefits you can get for yourself. This is primarily about cheaper stores, about food and entertainment.
