Take a night stroll in downtown Beirut to see a variety of interesting architecture. You will encounter classic and modern styles alike. End up by the water where you can take a stroll along Zaitunay bay on the Corniche. **Update: I went back and had the shrimp at Babel restaurant and it was delicious. See the yummy dish below.

The Zaitunay bay area harbor has a number of nice looking restaurants where you can eat outdoors overlooking the marina. A friend told me that the seafood restaurant Babel at the very end of the bay was very good. If I make it there, I will report back.

You should definitely indulge yourself and try the seafood. The quality of the restaurant seems high level. If I were in your place, I would try the Shrimp à la Provençale or the Grilled Octopus.
