Hi fellow LGs,
I am Neerja Bhatnagar, Google Local Guide Level 8, from India. Though, I have joined the programme sometimes in 2017. ( I scrolled back my gmail and found out) I feel as if I have been with the programme since eternity. 
Being a local guide, I feel responsible about my pics and reviews which I share and always keep my reviews unbiased as it can affect both the businesses and consumers.
If my experience somewhere is not as expected or I am upset about it, I always take some time to put my reviews so that my emotions cool down and put in the reviews in the right perspective, which may not hurt the business and also customers have a clear picture of what they should expect.
The thrill of adding a new place is same as being winning a race. 
The emails from Google maps informing the views on my pics and reviews are the real motivator.
The best part of being a Google Local Guide is that one gets to know people across the world , know about distant cultures, places etc. which widens the horizon and imagination. These interactions make me grow and mature as a person.
Being part of the programme is best summed up as - “The world has shrunk to a global village, which is happy, beautiful and supportive of each other specially here on Local Guide Connect.” Lots of positivity here. Amen !
