Being a Local Guide is to give back what I receive (and I love it)

Hi, my name is Germán Maretto and I live in Córdoba, the capital of the second most populated province (state) of Argentina, equally named.

I started sharing photos, reviews, comments in Google Maps (GM) after a travel to United Kingdom. When there, I tried the app in my phone and not only helped us to find places: during the way, it pointed other interesting places that, if we didn’t used GM, we passed by ignoring their importance: libraries, historical buildings, etc. Even more, in Scotland, the night we arrived was snowing hardly. Searching how to reach our hotel, my couple decided to ask the people and I decided to use GM. Finally we took the bus the people told her. The result: It left us 4 looong blocks away. We started walking with our suitcases under the snow and, half block away from the hotel, we saw the stop of the bus # indicated by GM.

I work more than 12 hr every day (consultant, teacher and writer) but, after that night in Scotland, I decided to start contributing as much as I can with GM by posting reviews, photos, comments in order to give back what I receive when I travel outside and even in my city. I want all the people using GM to have what I always need: the most precise and detailed information for not wasting time or being dissapointed, on one hand, or to know new places I’d never go if somebody shouldn’t recommend me.
