BeefDodo

  1. Ingredients: beef(suya), cabbage, onion, grinded pepper, dodo(plantain) oil, fresh pepper and fresh tomatoes
  2. The dish here in Nigeria is mostly done with gizzard; but i decided to try it out with beef(suya)…and OMG it came out very yummy, one you did like to lick ya fingers.
  3. Preparation is quite very easy though, my friend @Austinelewex when i showed him the picture, because he isn’t around to taste it …went knots. Dm me if you wanna get the full prescription @AdamGT @Austinelewex @Chizy
  4. It can be washed down with any light juice, most preferably fresh fruit juice :joy:

Because I am a pesco-vegetarian, I don’t eat meat @JoegatesChidi so what can you suggest as a substitute?

Nice post @JoegatesChidi

The food look so yummy and delicious.

Is true I was drooling when I saw the video and pictures.

But kindly share the recipe with all of us Local Guides here on connect @JoegatesChidi

Will wait for your recipe so that we could try and prepare it all by ourselves.

Thanks.

Best regards.

Aww…sorry about that @AdamGT

Well most likely i haven’t tried it out with any other sub’s.

But i think i would suggest preparing it with a mashed fished, augmenting it with any vege of your choice. Not forgetting fresh tomatoes

Oh please don’t be sorry, it is my choice not to eat meat @JoegatesChidi and I’m not in any way offended that you do. It’s just that it sounded interesting so I wondered if I could substitute another food for the meat and still have that beautiful taste that you described.

Hello @AdamGT

Let me help my friend @JoegatesChidi out with this post.

@AdamGT take a look at this Vegetable Sauce for Vegetarians if you have time.

I believe if you like to cook or have someone around that can, you could find all the ingredients where you stay

Best regards.

When I saw beefdodo, @JoegatesChidi I could bet it was a Nigerian! I had to be sure though because I have never heard of such a meal, this is so thoughtful and creative!

Chai! I imagine the scintillating aroma of the suya and the tingling sensation that comes from the smell of dodo (fried plantain). The thought of it alone…

Okay @AdamGT i didn’t mean to jetisson your choice. Maybe you misunderstood the sorry there. But its all noted now. Maybe you just go ahead and try it with fish just like i offered for a sub. I am even thinking of trying it out. :joy: just reminiscing how it would turn out to be. What do you think? @AdamGT and @Austinelewex

Well we’re always looking for different meals so worth trying your recipe with fish, I was also thinking maybe tofu, eggplant or mushrooms @JoegatesChidi .
