King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) has a beautiful campus with precast concrete buildings which are well suited for hot-humid climate. The abundance of palm trees in the surroundings beautify the campus and the university looks magical during the morning hours when students rush for their lectures. The visitors can easily get access to the premises of the university provided they get the entry pass from the main university gate. The total campus area is around 5 kms and buses are used to roam inside the campus and is free of cost for all the students and outside public. The university has one of the largest academic research library with many collection of books available for the university community and for local community.
There are many attractions available to the outside public in the campus during the working hours such as university park for kids and families, Technology exhibitions, university main library and sports facilities.

@Thai_Ngh I have a very strong attachment with this university, I completed my Masters in this reputed university and have some of the best memories attached to this place. School and university life is something which no one forget it brings out the positive energy whenever we think of those joyful days.

Thanks for introducing the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals to us. Are people, who are not studying in the university, allowed to play tennis? Have you studied there?

@MoniDi Thanks for the comment, yes the university have 8 hard court surfaces for tennis and is available for outside public provided they get the university access pass from the university security department. I completed my Masters from this prestigious university and have some of the best memories associated with this place.
By the way I would have liked to have grass courts instead of hard courts but since the university is located in a hot climate it makes more sense to have hard court surface from the maintenance point of view. Iam a big fan of Roger Federer, the elegance with which he plays the backhand shots is a treat to watch. Do you watch Tennis? In the women’s category I used to admire the way “justine henin hardenne” plays, it was just amazing to see the small powerpuff lady hitting brutal single backhand winners.

How great this university looks. If I had the opportunity to go there, I would do it. However, I live in Nigeria, so I have to stay here for now because I have no money for education abroad. So now I am looking for a university that requires a minimum passing grade to get into a federal university cut-off mark because I did poorly in school. I have a bad GPA, but I want to get a higher education because I think it can improve my life. I hope that I can get into one of the universities, and I can realize all of my goals.
