Beat the Heat with Legendary Meridian Icecream

Earlier this week, local guides in Pune met informally to beat the prevalent heat wave at the famous Meridian Ice Cream Parlor on Karve Road.

They had a wide range of flavors on offer.

The best part was that they had an ongoing offer of a scoop free :ice_cream: :plus: :ice_cream: :heavy_equals_sign: :face_savoring_food:

They had a limited seating arrangement since it was not one of their larger outlets.

I tried my favorite Anjeer Figs flavor, which is my benchmark to compare with other brands.

Meridian turned out to be the second best after Khatri Pot Ice Cream.

Together with @AjitThite, @ShubhamWaman, and @NERKARAMIT, I had an incredible experience with their famous Gulkand and Anjeer ice creams, and both were absolutely heavenly :+1:

The combination of real fruits and fresh cream was truly something special.
For an ice cream lover like me, it was like a taste of paradise!

I tried guava and chocolate combo scoops, it was very nice experience, @TusharSuradkar . Now I will try at their branch close to home.

Cheers!

It was a surprise discovery yesterday. I was doubtful if this was the famous original Meridian ice cream, but their simple logo helped.

@AjitThite, looking forward to your experience at the other outlets :+1:

We should also try Savla Hari and Kawre ice creams next.

Thank you, @NandKK

Traditionally, Ice creams are enjoyed in Pune all year round.
So we have dozens of famous brands that are over 50-100 years old.

We host small meetups around this tradition

Hello dear friend, @TusharSuradkar

Ohh… even in winter, you use icecreams?.. May not be very popular in Bangalore during winter…

“…dozens of famous brands that are over 50-100 years old…”
Ohh my God… that’s really interesting

Hi @MathanVibranarayan
Real Figs are sweet, but frankly, the ice cream flavors are a bit bitter.
And I like bitter food items, like bitter gourd.
Hence, this flavor is my favorite
Coincidentally, it is a favorite of our buddy @Kumaarsantosh also.

Haha
Why strike out chai @Kumaarsantosh

In reality, when we went out for tea yesterday, Ajt, Amit, I, and Shubham, we had tea initially - 2 rounds.

Then we chatted.

At the end, we saw this very famous ice cream parlor - Meridian.
So I suggested about #BeatTheHeat

The above is an unpublished photo - I am hoping either Amit or Shubham will use it in their Chai pe Charcha story.

Hahaha… double maza then @TusharSuradkar.

First tea :hot_beverage: then Anjeer figs icecream :ice_cream:.

First Create the Heat then Beat the Heat.

What a delightful way to #BeatTheHeat! :face_savoring_food: The Anjeer and Gulkand combo sounds absolutely tempting, especially coming from a seasoned ice cream lover like you, @TusharSuradkar. Love how you all turned a simple meetup into a flavorful celebration of summer! :ice_cream: Also, that “scoop free” offer is a sweet bonus. Great to see Local Guides enjoying and supporting local businesses together. Cheers to many more cool meetups like this! :sun_with_face::soft_ice_cream:
