Beat The Heat with an Iconic Ice Cream Brand

This is in response to the #BeatTheHeat Challenge by amazing local guide @MathanVibranarayan

Arun ice cream is a very old, iconic brand in India.
They are loved by young and old alike.

Yesterday, I visited their outlet, Marus Shop, located on Baner Road in Pune.

They have a nice, accessible storefront with both indoor and outdoor seating.

They don’t have a great variety of flavors, but the available ones are awesome.
My favorite is Anjeer Figs, but yesterday, I tried the Badam Kulfi flavor.

Agree with you on this @TravellerG
We almost had forgotten ice cream in Bangalore while living there for 5 years.
Though Pune is not warm, ice creams are consumed as dessert.

Hi, dear Tushar…
At least in our home, icecream is bought rarely as hardly anyone (except my daughter when she is here) consumes it.
Well, Pune should be warmer by almost 4…5… degrees more than Bangalore… right? In our house area it is 30…31…now…

Having lived in Pune and Bangalore for 5+ years, I can easily say the climate in both cities is the same, including the temperatures in various seasons @TravellerG

Also the temperature varies within the city in different parts.
Just like Madiwala Lake, we have the Pashan Lake with nearby hills and lush green forested areas, which makes it a cool place compared to other parts of Pune.

And I am lucky to be living in one such part out here

Definitely, we can exchange 10° each @Annaelisa since it has started to get a bit warm and we have started using the air-conditioner already.
