Full name Waikarekare aka Karekare this iconic beach situated on Auckland’s west coast is a wild beauty with a story all of its own. The west coast is home to severe rips and large swells swimming is only advised between the red and yellow flags of the monitored by surf life savers. Karekare is consistently placed among the top 10 beaches in the world.
