I will introduce San Francisco Bay area Hiking Trails, through these series of posts. This is Eleventh post of this series. In this post I will take you to Contra Loma Regional Park which is located in Anticoh, CA. I recently moved from Cupertino, CA which is in South Bay to Anticoh, CA, which is in East Bay of San Francisco Bay area. This is a good opportunity for me to explore hiking trails in east bay.
Contra Loma Regional Park is located just couple of miles from where I live now, in fact it is walking distance, I have started taking my morning walks in this park.
According to Park Website: “Contra Loma Regional Park is a 780-acre regional park in Contra Costa County, California. It is part of the East Bay Regional Parks system. includes an 80-acre reservoir.”
There is parking fee of $5 at the park. However, there free parking available near the entrance to the park as well. It is convenient for me for my daily walks/hikes. There is a 2.5 loop hike around the reservoir, you can enjoy the morning sunrise and the reflection on the water. There is a huge public swimming pool also in the park, which is currently closed for the season, which will reopen in next spring.
All pictures in this post are shot with Pixel 3.

More shots from the park, including the entrance where you have to pay $5 fee for parking.
There are many benches, bbq pits and water fountains through out the park.
