Along with the Yaque del Norte, Yuna, Camú, Blanco, Mao, Amina and other rivers and streams that are born in the Cordillera Central, the Bao is part of the water system that guarantees life to about 60% of our population.
It travels 85 kilometers leaving freshness and greenery in Jarabacoa, Jánico, San José de las Matas and more than 30 communities.
In the Water Quadrennium, caring for the Bao is saving the waters of the Dominican people.
Hi @PuntosRD
Thank you for sharing. Absolutely stunning photo! All the more reasons to visit Dominican Republic. You’ve got incredible nature there with the sea and beaches and then forests. Can you get fresh water there?
Whenever I’m in the mountains, I always try to search where you can find fresh mineral water you can bring back home. It’s much better than buying.
