Balaram palace: Hunting retreat of the Lohani Nawab of Palanpur

Balaram Palace is a picturesque place near the river Balaram at Chitrasani in Banaskantha district of Gujarat state.

The palace is believed to have been built by the Lohani Nawab of the Banaskantha region. It was built between 1922 and 1936. The palace was built on an area of about 13 acres. The palace is a mixture of neo-classical and Baroque styles of architecture. It’s surrounded by colorful flower beds, ornamental gardens, and fountains. However, the palace, once enjoyed as a hunting retreat by the Nawabs and kings, has now been converted into a heritage resort.

very nice palace, like it! It must have been a very good retreat for the lords and kings.

Unfortunately I cannot guess the movie as I’m not so expert in Bollywood movies although I like them, in special way for the nice music and great dancers.

The palace is quite old but looks in a good condition and maintained nicely.

If this is located by a riverside then it must be quite enjoyable as well.

I think the movie Sooryavansham was shot here. It is in other movies too if I am correct. The place seems so familiar.
